Protection to the People
Historically, apparel design has been used to convey messages, create uniformity, and shape public perception of a cause. This project combines a critical and visual history of protest clothing with a symbolic design for a two-garment collection of protective wearable technology, by shielding the physical body from the harms of crowd control tactics through strategically placed defensive components.

Designed to prevent callus formation on the top of the feet of astronaut's on the International Space Station. Presented at the 2017 NASA Wearable Technology symposium and the Industrial Fabrics Association 2017 Expo. Designed with Caitlin Hartman and Evan Ihde
