Protection to the People

Historically, apparel design has been used to convey messages, create uniformity, and shape public perception of a cause. This project combines a critical and visual history of protest clothing with a symbolic design for a two-garment collection of protective wearable technology, by shielding the physical body from the harms of crowd control tactics through strategically placed defensive components.
